This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I am entering my third year teaching at a Title I school in East Orlando. Teaching at a Title 1 school my students come from many different backgrounds. With Covid my students are used to sitting anywhere other than a desk. To help transition my littles this year I want to provide multiple seating arrangements. This is my first year in second grade and my students mean the absolute world to be. When they feel comfortable and safe that is when they are able to learn the best.
My Project
With covid still a thing, I want to make sure my students have the materials to stay safe as possible this year. Tissues are always the first thing classrooms run out of every year. I also want to make sure none of my students have to share their dry erase markers.
Being at a title 1 school some of my students will come to school with just their backpacks and no supplies.
While I have enough supplies for my students I am missing tissues, dry erase markers and post it notes.
