My Students
I work with 18 Pre-Kindergarten students who come from a variety of cultures and backgrounds. Many are learning English as their second language. The majority of my students receive free or reduced-price lunch. For many of them, this is their first school experience. Our school has grades Pre-K through 5th grade.
My students are curious and eager to learn!
My goal this year is to create a nurturing environment where my students become independent learners, thinkers, and problem solvers. We are creating the future leaders of the world!
My Project
Students in Pre-K are learning how to wear masks, wash their hands, and the importance of not spreading germs. If a child comes to school without a mask, this project will help us be prepared to provide them one. In addition, we will be sending home a bag of supplies for them to use when they are not in school.
These resources requested in this project will help provide a safe and healthy learning environment for our students.
In Pre-K, we practice hand washing multiple times a day, so the hand soap will come in very handy! It will help students to not miss school because they are sick. It will help to protect them through the upcoming winter months. I have also requested hand sanitizer and tissues. Using these resources will help to teach my students healthy habits and routines that will follow them even after their school aged years.
