This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am a passionate National Board Certified Education Specialist working in a high school setting. Our school is a Title I school serving a diverse population. The students I work with are determined and strive to persevere through social, emotional, and academic challenges. My Community-Based Instruction (CBI) class has worked on the yearbook staff, attended school activities, volunteered in the community, and served on the (ASB) Associated Student Body. They excel with movement and hands-on experiences. I am blessed to be their teacher and strive to encourage students beyond their greatest expectations.
Healthy food is on the minds of these young teenagers.
These bars, Mac and Cheese, biscuits and muffins will help us start the day off right, helping students regulate, instill calmness and focus. The snacks are available in the morning, with a generous amount of time to nourish themselves. Once the bell rings, it's time to start learning. Thank you for supporting students with unique needs.
