My Project

Providing classroom snacks for low-income students addresses a critical need that directly impacts their ability to focus, learn, and succeed in school. Many students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds arrive to class hungry due to food insecurity at home, making it difficult to concentrate, retain information, or fully participate in learning. Offering healthy snacks in the classroom helps bridge this gap by ensuring students have the energy and mental clarity needed to engage in academic tasks. Beyond nutrition, snacks can also promote a sense of stability and care, creating a more supportive and inclusive learning environment. By meeting this basic need, we can help level the playing field and give all students—regardless of income—an equal opportunity to thrive in the classroom.
