My Students

The school's neighborhood is diverse linguistically, culturally and socioeconomically. Some of the languages these students speak at home are Spanish, Portuguese, Arabic, Vietnamese, and Cape Verde Creole. Our school is a large K-8 school in the district.

In terms of English language development (ELD), students are beginners or intermediate and receive ESL services from me for support of their academic English in the domains of reading, listening, speaking, and writing.

I also provide special education services for students. Students in my classroom are English learners (ELs).

My Project

This project will positively impact student learning. Many of my students come to school hungry without any breakfast, food for snacks, or for their lunch. This project would ensure that when there was snack time in class that all students would have some healthy options to choose from.

This school need will positively impact student learning as the students will be able to focus and concentrate on learning if their physical needs for food are met.

This project would fund snacks like Kind bars and One bars. This would give students a good amount of options for snacks to eat when they are hungry.
