This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My kindergarteners come from a low socioeconomic background. Even though this is on their back, they are the most loving and hard working 5 and 6-year-olds. Being a teacher, I don’t have much to give financially, and I want my students to grow and thrive as much as they can. As a teacher in a low-income/high poverty school district, my students are faced with several challenges, both in and out of the classroom.
These students come from tough situations and despite so many hardships, my students are eager to learn and do their best.
My Project
My students need these snacks to help them stay focused on learning during the school day. Being at school from 8:00-3:30 is a long day for anyone... especially little bodies who are used to being at home!
My students need snacks to keep them awake, learning, and growing.
They requested some of their favorites: goldfish, pretzels, and fruit snacks to keep their bellies filled and their brains fueled for learning. We also need paper cups to fill with water to keep students hydrated. We have high goals for the end of the year and having snack time keeps students engaged, motivated, and cared for.
By donating to our project, you will help to improve and increase student attention and focus. You will also ultimately help to increase their academic achievement!
