Help me give my students healthy snacks! These snacks will help my students to worry less about their growling stomachs and focus more on literacy and reading skills.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students live in a low-income community where resources and opportunities are limited. Many of my students have to face rough living conditions and take on adult responsibilities when they are outside of school. In my English class, I try my best to expand their minds and allow them to simply be a child. Along with allowing them this freedom, I like to help build on their literacy skills.
These students have the potential to do great things and succeed beyond expectations.
Every one of my students has goals, dreams, and a future that can be bright if they stay focused. I am determined to do all I can to help these creative students stay engaged in the classroom and learn as much as they can! They are geared up and ready to learn!
My Project
My 7th grade students all come from underprivileged homes with limited resources and basic necessities. Items such as food and snacks are limited and sometimes unavailable. I'm committed to helping these students receive a healthy snack during the school day to eliminate hunger in the classroom. These students should be focused on learning instead of being hungry.
Learning on an empty stomach is challenge.
This project is all about providing students with healthy snacks so that they can worry less about their growling stomachs and focus more on reading, literacy skills, and learning. With your help, we can make that happen.
