This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Students always come to my office for food. They often don't have breakfast and want something different from our school food or food from home. By having free healthy snacks available, they feel like there is a place for them and somewhere they can check in every day other than with their regular teachers. Any donations are extremely appreciated for these hungry teens! This is often the bright spot on their days- looking in the box to see what I have left. The ENL office is a safe place for all students, but especially our multilingual learners from all over the world who often can't explain that they're distracted because they're hungry.
