Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I teach in a low-income, high poverty school. My students face challenges every day, in and out of the classroom. I would like make sure my students have the necessary materials to succeed and develop a lifelong love of learning in a safe and engaging classroom.

Despite the 95% of students who are eligible for free or reduced-price lunch and the hardships my students face on a daily basis, they are creative, full of energy, and eager to learn every day.

I am looking to get some snacks for my students. The majority of my students do not have the ability to bring a snack every day to school. To have them available in the classroom will be a huge help. We know how hard it is to focus on an empty stomach. I am looking for things like chewy bars, pop corn, and other healthy snacks. Thanks for supporting my students.
