My Students

For many of my students this is their first time attending school. They are nervous and scared about leaving their parents, meeting new friends and their new teachers. Once they enter the classroom and see all of the fun things that are on the walls and around the classroom, they get more excited.

As their teacher, it is my job to provide a safe, fun and inviting atmosphere for my students.

I love getting to see how my students grow throughout the year. It is great that I also get to see them move throughout their academic career up to eighth grade. My very first students at this school are now in second grade!

My Project

A new carpet in my classroom will enhance students learning by giving them an inviting space to engage in a multitude of activities. Our carpet is used throughout the day beginning with the students engaging in independent reading when they arrive to school. The rug that I have requested allows for each student to have their own personal spot so that they can be better engaged during instruction.

This rug will not only be an asset in my classroom this year, but it will also benefit future students.

It is an investment that will provide students a space to interact with each other and to engage in many different learning opportunities.
