My Students
Every student that comes to my classroom is on an Individualized Education Plan (IEP). We do not allow differences, diagnosis, family history, or poverty to define us. We don't allow our circumstances to be an excuse for not achieving our full potential. We embrace our differences, learn together, and overcome challenges together. In all areas, it is our goal to gear up for success. Students learn goal setting, evaluating their own success, assessing their personal growth and learning, and reflecting on objectives and how to make new goals. Students are set up for success not only in the classroom but for life.
My Project
It is so hard to find nonfiction books for early readers. With your generosity, my classroom will receive high interest, low level books on health, safety, and nutrition. Students will be engaged in nonfiction and realistic fiction books and activities that will enhance personal nutrition.
Students will be engaged in reading and applying nutrition and personal safety with these high interest, low level readers and theme box. Green light readers provide realistic fiction books on health and safety. Sight Word readers allow students to read about food groups independently.
With your generosity, students will grow to be healthy eaters, healthy readers, and healthy study habits.
