Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

This year has a huge adjustment not only for educators but for students as well. My students are special because so many suffer from things that could have a profound effect on their academics, but they choose to push through and try to make the best of their school year.

My Project

Pop its have become a popular item for young children. However many people don't realize that pop its, fidget spinners, and stress balls are outlets that can be utilized from grades K-12. I have numerous High School students that suffer from anxiety, a mountain of stress, and an inability to express their anger in a positive way at times. Therefore with this project, I hopefully can combine these items with my cozy reading corner, in the basket, to help students have a different outlet while in class that will allow them to relieve stress and also stay on task with their assignments. Learning another language can be added stress on top of other difficult classes. I just want my students to know that I care about their mental health just as much as their education.
