Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

At my high school, every student receives a free breakfast and lunch. Yet, these two meals often fail to meet the needs of my hungry students. If a student is hungry in class, it is near impossible for them to remain focused and learn. For the past few years I have been spending my personal money at the supermarket every few months purchasing nutritious snacks.

Please help me provide healthy, nutritious, and delicious snacks for my students.

Although there are vending machines on campus, many of them are filled with unhealthy sugary sweets. Plus, some of my students cannot afford to spend their money at the vending machine. Having snacks constantly available in my classroom eliminates the embarrassment a child may feel when having to ask for food.

Providing students with granola bars, fruit pouches, and protein filled snacks can make all the difference in their day! Please help me expand my classroom's food pantry and provide students with healthy and delicious snacks!
