My Project
At my school the air is not able to be filtered with air from outside; therefore, it is recycled through out the building. Classrooms have the option to open windows or have added vents to help cycle outside air into their classrooms. My special education room does not have either of those options as it is located in the center of the building. Many of my students are young and more vulnerable to frequent illness and have trouble using consistent germ reducing behaviors. This purifier would help the speech room to be a healthy environment to practice their skills. In addition, the chair would offer a special place for a child to be recognized for their work and receive praise they have done. Some children with sensory issues enjoy the sensory aspects of spinning as a reward for their concentrated efforts. By purchasing these supplies I can ensure healthy learning for all my students no matter their disability.
