My Students

My students enter my classroom with wide, eager and curious eyes. They are full of energy and are always on the go! They love hands-on learning and learning how things work. The children love to build things and are constantly exploring materials and looking for items to help them create. Our school serves students with disabilities, gifted learners, and students from military families. Most get their start to education in Pre-K and I want to make sure they get the best start possible!

My Project

Providing emotional health learning opportunities to preschool aged students is crucial to their development. I will use targeted literature to teach students about emotions and empathy. Students will get their own copy about filling our emotional buckets to bring home to share with families! In addition, we will explore physical health and use the dentist set to embark in play based learning on why dental health is also an important aspect of our health. We will use the flashlights to see our hands and use it as a way to shine our lights on the world with kindness. The anatomy doll set will also bring visuals to help students learn about our bodies and what we can do to keep our bodies healthy.
