This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
How will the specific items you’re requesting make a difference in their learning?
The 56 first aid kits for each of my students, insect sting medication, sanitized wipes, hand Purell, Lysol wipes and backpacks, and insect book would make a difference in my students' learning by showing them safety about indoors and outdoors.
Outdoor activities are essential for all my students to keep them healthy physically. Each student should learn that by having a first aid kit, they are more prepared for any minor injuries. Accidents and injuries in adults or minor kids are not always preventable but can be attended to faster if possible. A backpack is necessary for storing first aid and supplies like insect sting medication, sanitizing, and Purell, and Lysol. Medical supplies for first aid are a rapid defense and treatment. Also, for a cleaner classroom environment during activities, supplies are needed such as Lysol, sanitize wipes, tissues and Purell to keep my students healthy through sanitation measures.
It is important to teach my students how to prevent falls and be more aware of potential fall injuries and outdoor activities. Having these tools will better support Indoor and outdoor activities for the student's safety while they learn about nature.
What are your goals for this project?
My goal for this project is to provide the necessary tools to promote independence and hygiene activity. Also, the goal of using a pop-it toy is to provide distraction and relaxation when in need to focus on projects. Overall, all students during school could use hygiene activities and environmental cleaning supplies.
What makes your students special?
What makes my students special all have unique educational challenges. Some are emotionally challenged and others have behavioral needs. Each one of my students is unique and has special talents to share.
