This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
As a school counselor, I'm excited to start my first girls group this year, focusing on building healthy relationships and supporting emotional well-being. I'm reaching out for your help to equip my students with essential tools that promote mindfulness, stress relief, and self-expression as we navigate these important conversations.
With these materials, my students will feel empowered, supported, and equipped to build long lasting relationships.
Our group will benefit from sensory relaxing sand pictures to aid in discussions about emotions and create a calming environment for self-reflection. We'll also use plush stuffed animals for emotional support, and notebook journals for personal writing and growth.
In addition, I am requesting aquaphor lip therapy and vaseline lip therapy to ensure my students feel nurtured, as well as mechanical pencils to encourage creativity and collaboration. For a little treat and to help create a cozy environment, we would also love to have hot chips snacks for the girls to enjoy during out sessions.
To ensure confidentiality and a sense of comfort, I'm requesting a JBL mini speaker for private group sessions, helping the girls feel safe and supported as they work through important conversations about building healthy relationships.
