I provide academic, social-emotional, and clinical support to my students. I wouldn't have it any other way! I am continuing to building my school counseling program in order to be accessible to all students. I have come to realize the reality of outdated technology has added barriers to digital learning but it is an essential and new reality. However, I found different resources online that will allow interactive lessons and collaboration. It is essential to stay in constant contact with my students and their families so that I can assist them in academic, social-emotional, and high school readiness. My East Oakland students are eager to ask for help! The resources I have found depend on strong technology that is challenging in this current time. A major plus is that I can write on the screen and show my students examples and explain concepts better that will make academic counseling more effective.
