Healthy, Happy Learners

My Students

Almost all of my students come from low socioeconomic status homes. We live in a very rural community that is sadly being taken over by drugs.

However, despite these challenges we as teachers are still trying to push our students to be successful human beings and to hopefully break the cycle of addiction.

Many of my students are currently in foster care. I have few resources, but I am hoping to give my students the most welcoming, encouraging school experience that they can possibly have.

My Project

We no longer use water fountains at school due to Covid-19 protocols. In order to keep my students healthy, I want to give them all a reusable water bottle. They will be able to refill them as needed from the bottle filling station in the hallway.

Not only will the bottles be a more sanitary solution, it will also be more eco-friendly so we're not using disposable cups every day.

Plus, these will encourage students to drink more water!

The Clorox wipes will be used to keep learning materials and areas clean and sanitized. We go through a lot of these wipes, so we really could use more.
