Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Every school day, my students arrive eager to learn, collaborate, and grow. The strongest learning happens when they can be present, comfortable, and focused instead of worrying about sniffles, germs, or empty tissue boxes. Simple daily routines can make a meaningful difference in creating a classroom where students feel safe and ready to learn.

Every day, my students will use these supplies to build healthy habits that help protect learning time and keep our classroom running smoothly.

Tissues, hand sanitizer with a dispenser, and disinfecting wipes will become part of our daily routine. Students will sanitize their hands when they enter the classroom, use tissues whenever they need them, and help wipe down shared materials and learning spaces throughout the day. These small routines encourage responsibility while creating a healthier environment for everyone.

Research suggests that when students feel safe, comfortable, and experience fewer distractions, their brains are better able to focus on learning and retain new information. While no classroom can eliminate every illness, consistent hygiene practices can help reduce the spread of everyday germs, allowing students to spend more time where they belong—engaged in meaningful learning with their classmates.
