Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

With your help, I will be able to bring to my students and families a culinary program to promote health and well-being. We will be able to use the materials with our hydroponic school garden. I will be able to support my students and families in creating healthy communities through the power of cooking using healthy food options. This will combat and address the growing tide of childhood diet-related diseases in our communities. We will be able to provide healthy options to use with our hydroponic garden. Studies have shown that hydroponically grown produce can have significantly increased levels of vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants compared to conventionally grown counterparts. Using the toaster oven, toaster, air fryer, waffle maker, and knife-cutting set students will learn how to eat clean and healthy using our hydroponic garden.
