My Students

My students are English learners (ELs). Some of the native languages represented in my class are the following: Spanish, Portuguese, Arabic, Mandarin, Cantonese, Somali, and Haitian Creole.

Many of my students are beginners or intermediate with their English language proficiency and receive English as a second language (ESL) from me to support their academic English in the following domains: reading, listening, speaking, and writing.

Since I am a also resource teacher, some of the kids I work with also receive special education services.

My Project

Our classroom needs a vaccum. Currently, we only have a broom and dustpan to sweep up dirt in the classroom. We need a vacuum which will help clean our space in an efficient way especially areas like the rug.

This vacuum will help create and maintain a safe and healthy learning space for students to learn.

With the rise of COVID-19, it is important to have a clean classroom. The classroom vacuum will help us to create and maintain a classroom where students can focus on academic vocabulary and content learning.
