Healthy Classroom Essentials: A Donation Drive for Wellness

My Project

As we creep toward cold an flu season, the impending sickness that comes with working with young scholars is on the horizon. I can already hear the coughing and sneezing! It is essential to have the right supplies on deck to help keep the sickness at bay and keep our students and teachers happy and healthy!

Helping students to focus on learning while reducing the impact of seasonal illnesses is essential to student success!

How we plan to use these supplies to keep our school community happy and healthy:

-Tissues: Frequent colds can lead to runny noses. Having tissues readily available helps students manage symptoms comfortably and promotes hygiene by encouraging them to dispose of used tissues properly.

-Hand Sanitizer: Kids can easily spread germs, especially in close quarters. Hand sanitizer provides an effective way to reduce the transmission of bacteria and viruses, especially after activities like lunch or recess, helping to keep everyone healthier.

-Clorox Wipes: These are essential for regularly disinfecting surfaces, like desks, doorknobs, and shared supplies. Keeping these areas clean can significantly lower the risk of illness spreading in the classroom.

-Monitor Wipes: It can be tricky disinfecting technology, but monitor wipes are specifically made to clean off devices to make sure they are sanitized and ready for the next student.

-Band-Aids: Accidents happen, whether it's a small cut or scrape. Having Band-Aids on hand allows teachers to address minor injuries quickly, minimizing disruption and helping students feel cared for.

By supporting our Healthy Classroom Essentials project, we can create a safer, more nurturing environment where students can thrive and focus on learning. Together, let’s empower our classroom to stay healthy and resilient during this season of sickness!
