This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our students represent a very diversified school. We have students from Israel, ex-Soviet Union countries, many of us never heard about, such as Georgia, Uzbekistan, Belorussia, in addition to the students from all over Asia, Africa, Central and South America. Our students come from low-income families. Many of them live in the shelter, far away from the school and take a long journey to come to school. Many of them are single parent families or live in a foster family.
Despite the conditions our students live in, they show great attendance and are eager to learn.
Besides, the parents are very supportive of our school's unique programs we offer to their children.
My Project
I care about my loving students who eager to come to my health and science class every day. They always ask me question about the nutritional facts and other components of a healthy lifestyle. I shared with them the concept of micro life. They got so interested that they inspired me to offer them to act like young scientists and use the chromebooks I am asking about to research what makes their life healthy so they can perform academically to their full potential.
I offer an excited, innovated, and unique topic to my students, and highly involved project, using the chromebooks I am asking about.
They will actively participate in a research about all steps of Micro Life, such as taking certain amount steps per day, checking the body mass index, how long they watch TV per day, or consume a portion of red meat. My students will use the chromebooks and participate by checking their own data. However, they will interview adults who smoke or drink to get data. They will research the level of air pollution in the city they live and especially the area they live in. Then, my students will create a series of spreadsheets with all their findings and create a graphs to come up with their conclusion regarding the validity of micro life contribution into longevity.
This project is a unique project, because so few people know about the latest science research.
My students are excited to start the project using these chromebooks to create a series of spreadsheets with all their findings, and create a graphs to come up with their conclusions regarding the validity of micro life's contribution to longevity.
