Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

It is a new school year and I have been given a grade change. I have moved to second grade and my students are wonderful! A new grade also means we have a new schedule; and, with this schedule, our afternoons are long. For second graders, this can make any tummy rumble. I am quickly getting to know my students. They are active and burn so much energy that they always seem to be hungry!

I am hoping to give my students healthy snacks throughout the day to keep them energized to learn.

This grant includes breakfast foods for the morning and some fun grains and fruit snacks for the afternoon. A full tummy means the mind is ready to learn. My students and I would be so grateful.
