The school I teach at is located in the heart of Queens, NY. When you reach the gates of this school, you can feel the appreciation of students' backgrounds and cultures, as you enter the school building, you are entering a community that values and appreciates its students, staff, and families.
My Project
What was your favorite part of school when you were young? Many children would say when they got to play outside. This is a favorite time in the day when children get to play, run, and have fun. Preschoolers spend their day working in large and small groups in the classroom, and gross motor play would enable them to release their natural energy.
Preschoolers are active learners who need materials they could use independently.
Exercise supports growth and development. As students use these materials they will build on body strength, develop healthy minds, and learn social skills. As students engage in outdoor play with a ring toss, bowling set, hula hoops, and more, it will build on their stamina academically.
