Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our students are driven young individuals from urban and rural areas who seek to push themselves academically and become passionate participates in our community. These students dedicate their time to their studies and their school, working longer school hours than surrounding public schools and studying both Spanish and English languages concurrently. Our students strive to improve their personal character, develop strong work ethics, and push themselves to stay curious, questioning, and eventually become lifelong learners with a respect for new challenges.

My Project

Your donation will help our teachers give students access to basketballs, jump ropes, hula hoops, cones, and playground balls. This equipment will enrich 4th-6th grade's physical education time and help our students grow both physically and emotionally. This can be an awkward time for our students, when growing up doesn't just mean getting taller: voices change, priorities are rearranged, and friendships aren't as easy as they used to be.

Researchers have found that children who participate on team sports are more socially advanced than their non-sports participating peers.

Some researchers even speculate that team sports are essential for development in the social realm.

By donating to this project, you are helping our 4th-6th grade teachers develop a team building P.E. program that will strengthen our students' self-confidence, respect for one another, as well as strengthen their bodies and overall health.
