This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students come from a wide variety of backgrounds. Many students benefit from the free or reduced-price lunch program. Some of my students do not come to school with all the necessary supplies. Although that is true, my students are hard workers, and they do not let anything get in the way of their learning. They try their best in all that they do. Our class motto is "Work hard. Be kind." They always stick to the motto as best they can.

My Project

As we continue teaching and learning throughout the pandemic, one of the most important things to me is to keep my third graders healthy and safe. In order to do so, it is important that all students have access to face masks that are the appropriate size. Additionally, having access to additional disinfecting wipes will allow me to keep all surfaces clean throughout the day. At this time of the school year, all parent donations have dwindled down but we must continue to keep our classroom clean. Disinfecting door knobs, light switches, tabletops, countertops and all other high traffic areas is of utmost importance to flatten the curve of any transmission of COVID19 within our classroom.
