Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am the lucky teacher to eight young students with autism. We work hard each and every day to achieve our social, behavioral, and academic goals.
However learning can be hard for my students when we they are hungry or feeling sick.
I am requesting donations of healthy snacks that we can keep in the classroom for those times where our students are feeling hungry. All of my students do qualify for free breakfast and lunch. However, children with autism tend to be very picky with what they will eat. Therefore, some students will not eat the provided foods. These snacks that I have picked out are things that I know they enjoy eating.
I also am requesting some supplies to keep our eating areas clean and sanitized, as well as to clean up any messes or spills.
