Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students walk into our classroom every day full of life, ready to learn, and excited for what is in store for them that day. They are an eager bunch and enjoy being challenged and learning about the world around them. The majority of my class receives free or reduced-price lunch and their home life is less than desirable. As their teacher this year, I am doing my best to bring happiness, positivity, enrichment, and support into their lives. My students lack the economic means to gain certain experiences, and it is my goal to foster an encouraging environment and to create a chance for them to participate in everyday childhood experiences.

My class is filled with lively students, all very different in their learning abilities, needs, and goals; however, over the past four weeks,​ we have developed a close-knit classroom.

Friendships have been formed and connections have been made. All who walk into my classroom can see and hear this nurturing environment.

My Project

I am excited to have the opportunity to work with UNICEF and provide FITBITS for my classroom. As a classroom teacher,​ I see my students becoming less active. I want to inspire them to lead healthy and happy lives.

UNICEF will match each and every donation and I am so excited about this!

My students will love using the FITBITS to monitor their steps and set healthy goals. Please help my students become active and healthy! Empowering my students with tools to help them change their lives is a very empowering tool and I am excited to offer my students their own FITBITS.
