This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

New year, new students and lots of excitement during the back to school time. My project includes Kleenex to help us stay healthy and bottles of hand sanitizers to keep germs from spreading.

Basic materials will help setting up our classroom routines from day one, from chart paper to colorful markers.

The chart paper will be used to make signs, and classroom posters. Having visuals in the classroom, such as color coded charts, will help students retain information and learn things much quicker. For instance, in one chart, it can be students’ names, and each initial letter can be a different color to help students make connections and learn each other's names. The felt markers can support students during writing time, to practice name writing, letters and numbers too. They do not need to apply too much pressure like you would need with a regular pencil.

Another benefit of having charts in our classroom is shared writing, the ability to have students add to them throughout the year as a way to share our learning! These materials will support a much healthier and colorful classroom from day one!
