This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My first-grade students are amazing, energetic, fun, and lovely children who have the drive to learn. They are like sponges absorbing all the information they can receive from me or anyone who presents to them. Most of my children are Spanish speaking with English as a second language. Many of the parents are only Spanish speaking.
The students come to school daily ready to learn with their friends.
They are excited to be surrounded in a safe, comfortable cozy learning environment. I see them walk into our classroom full of life, ready to learn and excited for what is in store for them that day. I feel honored to have the responsibility to teach these amazing first graders and prepare them for the next grade.
My Project
My students come in with chapped lips and teeth that have not been brushed. The students are excited about losing teeth in first grade.
I would like to share with my students how important brushing their teeth daily will help them feel good.
Teaching them at a young age about chapped lips and clean teeth is important for lifelong hygiene. The students are excited to learn with their friends and feel fresh and clean at school and at home. The Kleenex, toothpaste, toothbrushes, and Chapstick will give them learning hygiene is important at a young age.
