Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I work in a large inner city school in Las Vegas. Healthy eating habits is a huge issue. It is easier to grab fast food then it is to make a healthy meal. I would like to have healthy snacks in my classroom and a refrigerated space for students to leave healthy snacks and meals for later in the day.
I am a big believer in healthy eating habits.
These habits need to happen early in life and I feel this will give them a healthier adulthood. A space they can keep their meals and heat them up would go a long way to helping this.
