My Students

Health science students are some of the best students in the state of Alabama. Our students are high achievers with goals of becoming the future health care work force in our community. Our students work hard to learn about the human body and skills necessary to be a healthcare professional.

Our students learn from hands-on experience.

We provide students with realistic classroom and laboratory experiences. During the students' senior year, they are able to have live clinical work in health care facilities across the county. Our students are graduating, prepared to enter the workforce and post secondary health science programs.

My Project

By providing students with the opportunity to do dissections, they will visualize what they have been learning. Students will put their hands on similar anatomical parts that they have learned about. This will address learners who learn in multiple ways and ensure they see what anatomy looks like. We currently use diagrams and models to teach students about anatomy. However, they never get to feel and touch what body parts are like. Through dissections, students will use the skills they have learned to identify and visualize major organs and the structures of those organs. This will provide an experience that our students have not had in the past.
