In our classrooms and school community we strive to empower students and families. Though we are a high poverty Title I school; teachers, parents, and community members come together to give students a positive school experience each and every day. We focus on "I can" and encourage kids to seek out their passions and positively impact the world around them.

My Project
COVID 19 has changed the way we teach and learn! Students are in front of screens and more isolated than ever. It can be hard to find time to prioritize health and fitness and motivate kids to get moving. By funding this project you will support students and families getting involved in health and fitness from home!
Each week students will engage in fitness challenges with their family.
They will be encouraged to post about and share their experience with the health challenge via digital media using Flipgrid or our school Social Media. Student and family experiences will be shared across classes to encourage school wide participation. For each post families will be entered into a raffle to win one of three fitness packages including healthy snacks, a water bottle, jump rope, basketball, football and other basic fitness equipment. It is our hope as a school community, that this project will motivate our students to prioritize both their mental and physical health while also building a connection to their school even from a distance!
