I am an art teacher in Oakland, where our students have shown incredible resilience through some recent tough times within our school community. To support their well-being this coming year, I aim to create a space that will provide a place for students to take a break, enjoy a cup of tea, and find peace and privacy when needed.
This project will enable me to offer essential health and hygiene items, including heating pads, hair ties, deoderant wipes and other items to help teens feel comfortable.
Oatmeal and tea will be available so that students have acess to a healthy, filling snack so that they can focus and engage fully.
