This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am an educator working to create a space where creativity meets healing and innovation. I’m requesting an inkjet printer and a heat press so my students can explore graphic design, custom stickers, and T-shirt making as part of an art therapy-inspired STEAM program.

Many of my students are navigating personal challenges.

I want to give them a creative outlet where they can express themselves, build confidence, and develop real-world skills. With these tools, students will learn the basics of digital design, bring their ideas to life on paper and fabric, and experience the joy of creating something meaningful with their own hands.

This project blends art therapy and STEAM education, supporting mental wellness while teaching design technology, critical thinking, and entrepreneurship. Whether they’re printing an inspiring message on a T-shirt or creating a sticker that reflects their identity, each student will walk away with a sense of pride and purpose.
