Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students come from families with limited resources and have faced numerous social-emotional challenges over the past few years. To address these issues, I aim to provide my students with the essential tools needed to understand and self-regulate their feelings, manage anxiety, and validate their emotions.

I propose the creation of a safe and calming corner within my classroom, where students can seek comfort and find peace when needed.

This designated space will offer a variety of options that students can choose from to help them relax and focus on processing their feelings.

By integrating materials such as Motivational Quote Stickers, Composition Notebooks, Crayola Markers, Rulers, and Sticky Notes into my Healing Hearts project, I will establish a multifaceted approach to enhancing my students' mental health. This initiative combines creativity, reflection, and motivation, thereby fostering a supportive environment in which my students can explore their emotions and cultivate resilience.
