Headsets to Hear and Batteries for Energy!

My Project

Dear Donors,

Our computer lab is in desperate need of new headsets.

One of the requirements of the state are mandated tests, for which we need functioning headsets with microphones since they are computer based. Quite often, headsets do not hold up well and break with student use. Our classroom currently has 6 headsets with microphones that work. This means I can only test six students at a time with our screener that requires the student to speak. Also, the school has a program where a student reads books out loud and is recorded. This program helps students to hear themselves as they read, aiding in phonemic awareness, a pivotal requirement for literacy. Students are not able to use this program since we do not have a full set of functioning headsets. With a new classroom set of headsets, we will be able to serve more students, lending certainty to their success.

Additionally, we are in need of rechargeable batteries to fuel our wonderful STEM Lab items. We were graciously donated items that require batteries. If we had rechargeable batteries, we would not need to continually purchase batteries in order for the students to use these resources.

Our students and staff sincerely appreciate all of the wonderful donations made possible by our passionate community.
