Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Each child in my classroom absolutely loves learning, although the method and environment in which they learn best vary greatly. We incorporate a variety of learning strategies, group work, and alternative seating and learning options to ensure that each student's needs are met, right where they are!

Since I am the CLD (Culturally and Linguistically Diverse) and RtI (Response to Intervention) teacher, I work with students in kindergarten through 8th grade, whom all have a very diverse set of needs.

They are truly an incredible group, and I am so lucky and thankful to have a new group of learners that are excited and ready to learn each year!

My Project

Since I work with students K-8, we will use the headsets for a variety of reasons. Each grade level will benefit from the ability to have a good pair of headphones.

The headsets will help with literacy, my goal for next school year is to have more books on tape.

This will help students who struggle with reading have a better comprehension. Students can record their own reading of a story and then have the ability to hear what they read.

As well as, help the students who take the ACCESS test in January and any other Colorado state test.

The mouse will be helpful for students who struggle to use a keypad. The mouse will help students with use of Chromebooks for various class projects or during testing.
