This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are amazing! Most of them have been at the school since kindergarten, and our school is special because we can really develop a close relationship with each individual student as they grow up.

As a school with a bilingual program, students are immersed in rigorous instruction in both English and Spanish!

There are numerous benefits to being bilingual and students work very hard to access the curriculum despite it being a challenge. We have both Spanish-dominant and English-dominant speakers, which means that 100% of our students are second language learners!

My Project

My classroom has a diverse group of children with different skills and abilities. As an educator, I understand the responsibility I have to offer them the absolute best education. In order to do so, students must have the tools for success.

These headsets are essential tools for my students, particularly for students who have learning disabilities.

These headsets offer all of my students the chance to learn and be included in the classroom environment. Some of my students need to listen to audiobooks in order to enhance their comprehension due to such learning disabilities as dyslexia and/or to help them learning a second language.
