My Project

Students have amazing tools now at their fingertips. One of them includes a district-funded Read & Write extension. Our district has provided an amazing tool for our students- an extension called the Read & Write for Google Chrome. The students are in middle school and embarrassed to listen to or use speech to text out loud. They need a more private way of accessing the history curriculum while maintaining their dignity as a preteen! A student will use the headset to hear any selected text read to them. They can hear how to pronounce a word or use the speech-to-text feature to write. Giving students this aid will give them the opportunity to show how they are learning without writing as an obstacle.
