Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I teach some of the most loving and exciting 1st grade students. They work hard daily. These amazing 1st grade students live in a low-income community, a community that just recently recovered from Hurricane Harvey, where many families lost everything. My students are resilience and come to class every morning with a smile on their face.
Our school is their second home and I love to see the smiles on their faces as they come to school every day eager to learn.
Our school is full of love and laughter and is where even the most striving students grow.
My Project
In 2019, the use of technology in the classroom happens daily. My 1st grade students use iPads and computers daily and they love to make videos using the app SeeSaw to record their learning.
Every student uses a computer daily to work on their reading skills and listen to books.
They use the technology to take reading tests and to use programs purchased by our district. If every students has a set of headphones this will give every students to ability to use technology daily without having to wait on another student. Please help my students be able to use their technology daily.
