Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My third graders are excited to come to school each and every day. They are curious and eager to please, even with the many hardships they face each day. They always show how excited they are to be at school and strive to learn all that they can. All of my students receive a free breakfast and lunch each day at school due to their economic hardships. Eight-year-olds should not have any of the obstacles my students do. In spite of their economic and home struggles they always try their best. It makes me proud to be their teacher.
My Project
Headphones would make such a difference in my classroom! Headphones would give my students the ability to use technology throughout the school day, without having to share headphones or go without. My students do not currently have headphones and to give them each a pair of their own to use in the classroom would be amazing!
Headphones will help my students stay focused.
My students use a math program called Zearn where they complete a digital lesson every day. Currently, without headphones, my students have to do the program with the sound on, which can become very distracting in the classroom.
My students also love to listen to books in Kids A to Z, and on Epic! With their own headphones, my students will be able to use these programs and get their learning done without having to have their computer sound turned on, disrupting class.
