My Students

My students live in a rural, low income area and go to a Title 1 school. Our school recently moved up from a C to a B. My students work very hard to learn, they love animals, and spending time learning on the computer. Most of my students do not have computers at home. School is where they get to watch educational videos and play computer games that help them with math and reading.

These students realize that education is their only way for them to become successful and to move out of the small town they live in.

They are anxious to go and see the world. My job is to help them accomplish their dreams.

My Project

My students are required to do computer program work on iReady and Reflex Math weekly. The headphones we have left in our classroom are broken, uncomfortable, and most do do work well. They need to clearly hear the instructions on these programs in order to learn the material presented to them. These programs enhance their math and language arts skills. They also learn cool science information about animals and plants.

The students often complain about not being able to hear what the instruction are and what they are supposed to do.

These new headphones will make their learning more comfortable and make it easier for them to concentrate and learn.
