My Project
Since the pandemic, our school has incorporated the use of technology more in the classroom. The headphones our school provides break easily and do not have microphones. Having good quality headphones with a microphone would allow students to be able to use reading programs that help with phonics and fluency in the classroom more effectively. Our students desperately need phonics interventions in the upper grades, utilizing programs like AMIRA require reading aloud to the computer. This becomes challenging without microphones as the computer will pick up background noise and data becomes inaccurate.
