Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Every day I am greeted by a group of enthusiastic 4th graders eager to learn. My students come from a low income, high poverty district, and the majority of my students are English language learners. Despite any challenges they may face, they come to school every day prepared to learn.

My students are diverse, curious, creative, and resilient.

I am providing them with meaningful learning experiences that will help prepare them to be lifelong learners and I look forward to watching them explore, challenge themselves, and grow as this school year continues.

Coming off almost two years of remote learning, my students are adjusting back to in person learning while trying to fill in the gaps both socially and academically caused by remote learning. My students come to school prepared to learn every day and I am looking to provide them with everything they need to be successful.

My Project

By donating to this project, you are giving my students access to headphones that will enhance their learning and provide them access to learning opportunities.

A class set of headphones will give my students the ability to not only access our curriculum more easily, but also give them the opportunity to enhance their learning.

With these headphones, my students would be able to access texts at their reading level to improve their listening comprehension. Technology is an important part of our daily instruction and students use their Chromebooks daily.

Providing my students with headphones would give them more independence over their own learning and would also help my students focus more in the classroom.
