Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My school is a Title 1 school with a large low income population. Many do not have access to computers or technology at home and I would like to provide them a set to equal the playing field. Many students work after school, have large families with many siblings and could benefit from less distractions when working.
My Project
With the next school year involving more 1 to 1 student teaching and possibly hybrid teaching with days at school and at home, I would love to offer the abililty for my students to have their own personal set of headphones to be used in class and for themselves.
I was first considering a classroom set but am hopeful that I can obtain 120 to 150 sets of these headphones to make all my students be at an equal playing field when it comes to technology.
My school is a Title I school and with a large low income and refugee population. Thank you.
