Headphones... The Subtle but Effective Tool to Help Students Focus

Help me give my students good quality headphones for their Chromebooks, that way students can focus and work hard.

My Students

My students are such great students. These past two years with COVID-19 have caused some struggles and challenges for my students. However, they have worked so hard to not let these struggles get them down. They have positive attitudes and they truly want to do their best. I have been so impressed with how excited my students are to learn in the classroom! They just thirst for knowledge and growth; it helps me as a teacher to do my absolute best to help them grow.

I have 31 students in my class and every single one of them brings great assets to my classroom.

I have students who thrive on working together and helping each other. I have students who push through hard things and conquer that challenge by trying new things and/or asking for help. I have students who are creative and share amazing ideas that inspire others. I'm always in awe of their thoughts and ideas.

My Project

Because of COVID-19, students have done a lot of school work via technology. A lot of their instruction involves videos and audio. If students have headphones that are not good quality and are not usable, then it affects the quality of their learning.

There have been times when my students do not have working headphones but need to listen to a video.

Therefore, they have to play the video/audio out loud and therefore it distracts the classmates around them. I believe headphones would help students gain a valuable educational experience while not distracting others around them. Students will be able to focus, learn, and accomplish the school task at hand.
