Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are amazing. This school year they have grown so much. They love learning and exploring new topics, especially in math, literacy and science. A lot of my students come from difficult backgrounds, but they don't allow these challenges to impact their learning or growth. My classroom is a dual language classroom in which students learn in Spanish for half of the day and English for the other half. I love my job and being able to play a role in my student's learning.
My Project
Our headphones are in poor conditions, with half of them not working. This really impacts students' access to our literacy app. My classroom needs 18 headphones. While my students are on their literacy app, I can run small groups and provide on on one support to struggling students. Without these headphones students are not able to use the Ipads and it impacts my small groups greatly. I know my students would be very grateful to receive these headphones and I know that they would put them to good use.
Having these headphones will impact our classroom in a positive way.
Students will be able to work on their literacy, while I run small groups and provide one on one support to my struggling students. My class and I thank you in advance.
